Adia Sovie

Professional Profile

Adia is the Academic Coordinator for the Natural Resources and Environmental Science Program.   Her background and research focus is in interdisciplinary ecology, specifically understanding how land use change and invasive species alter wildlife communities.   Before coming to the University of Kentucky in 2019, Adia earned her MS from the University of Florida. Prior to graduate school she worked for 7 years as a field technician for various universities, federal, state, and local agencies including Grand Canyon National Park, Kodiak Island National Wildlife Refuge, and Virginia Tech.
